MAS SPECTRAL RESPONSE FUNCTION (12 CHANNEL)

Overview
The MAS Spectral Response Function (SRF) describes its relative sensitivity to energy of different wavelengths and is determined in our calibration laboratory using a scanning monochromator and integrating sphere. These measurements are taken regularly to ensure that the highest quality data is delivered to the scientific community.

Prior to 1995, the MAS data system was capable of recording only 12 spectral bands at 8-bit resolution. This required unique instrument configurations for each Campaign.
