ANCILLARY INFORMATION

Flight: 00-020-20
Date: August 28, 2000
Aircraft: DC-8, Aircraft Number 817
Deployment: PACRIM II
Flight Location: Bougainville, Adelbert Range, Finisterre Range; Papua New Guinea
Principal Investigator: Coleman, Weissel (NASA)
Additional Sensors: AirSAR
Objective:
Bougainville - Evaluate data to determine the value of AIRSAR and MASTER for establishing the environmental condition of the study area (post mining).
Adelbert Range - AIRSAR will be used for a Re-Vegetation Index (RVI) to map areas denuded or buried by large rockslides and earthquakes.
Finisterre Range - TOPSAR used for DEM generation and MASTER used for geologic mapping purposes.
